Get To Know The Owner

Laura Hogan, owner and operator, was born and raised in Montrose. She started her career in banking around 1986, where she worked in almost every department of the bank including the Teller, New Accounts, Mortgage Loans, Consumer Loans, and so on. It instilled values of customer privacy and accuracy in her at a young age. Laura worked there until the time she started her family. She took a few years off once her daughters were born. During that time, she helped a friend with payroll and some light bookkeeping.

When Laura returned to work, she became the office manager for a construction company where she was in full charge of all aspects of the accounting, insurance, DOT compliance – pretty much everything! At that point, she was also doing bookkeeping on the side for several clients.

Integrity Books, Inc. Was Born

In 2015, Laura decided to open Integrity Books, Inc. She kept the construction company as a client, while adding new clients. Soon, Laura became overwhelmed with clients and decided to hire some help. Today, Integrity Books, Inc. now has a full team of bookkeepers – and still busting at the seams.

Laura is the owner of Integrity Books, Inc. She has a large clientele that mostly includes small businesses. She has always been involved in bookkeeping one way or the other. Serving Montrose business owners with full discretion has been the foundation of her company.
Elizabeth McBreen
Elizabeth McBreen
Elizabeth came to Montrose from Arizona in 2006. Her accounting background is in construction having worked for construction suppliers and home builders in Arizona. After moving to Montrose, she worked in the construction industry for 11 years before coming to Integrity Books, Inc. in September of 2017. Elizabeth handles all aspects of accounting with extensive experience in QuickBooks, payroll and all day-to-day accounting needs. She goes that extra mile to accommodate clients’ needs. She takes pride in her integrity!
Kim Peterson
Kim Peterson
Kim is a native of Montrose. Her and her husband Gary have two daughters living in Montrose with their families. They get to watch their 5 grandchildren grow up and enjoy being involved in their lives.

Kim brings 30 years of bookkeeping experience to Integrity Books. She started out at a gasoline and propane bulk plant for 12 years. Then moving on to a construction company for 18 years before coming to Integrity Books. She brings experience in AP, AR, human resources, office management, and cash management with her specialty being in payroll. She has managed payroll in various states as well as internationally. Mastering the taxes for all the challenging jurisdictions. She has done certified payroll and the Davis Bacon reporting that is required with it. She would be happy to help you with all your payroll needs.

Leah Erno
Leah Erno
Leah became a self-taught, single office clerk for a farm and freight company in 2016. She oversaw and managed every function of the behind-the-scenes operations for the two companies, and also managed the owner’s personal finances and affairs. She helped start up two more trucking companies, create and maintain their books on the side for two years. Leah came on board at Integrity Books in late 2022 while continuing to work for her previous employer on the side. He is now a client of Integrity Books, Inc. as well. She has knowledge in startup and shut down of businesses, tax matter clean up, working in two sets of books, money management, audits of various sorts, DOT compliance, cleaning up/balancing chart of accounts, etc. She is confident in getting and keeping books in good working order. She takes pride in working as quickly and efficiently as possible, but also knows it takes the time it takes, and the fine details are what matters! She is grateful for everything she has learned and continues to learn. She is happy to be a part of such a great team here, with moral support, enthusiasm in what we do, and having fun while doing it! She enjoys establishing great relationships with our clients and going above and beyond in helping them to achieve ultimate success.

Donna was born and raised in Montrose, CO. She came to Integrity Books in early 2022. Donna has experience with QuickBooks, payroll, insurance, and customer service. Donna and her husband Steve have two daughters, Andrea and Adriana. In her spare time Donna enjoys riding ATV’s and spending time with family and friends. She loves working at Integrity Books with the girls she grew up with!
Lori Smith
Lori Smith
Lori is a native of Montrose. Before coming to Integrity-Books, she worked at Montrose County for 24 years. She has over 35 years of experience in banking, bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable and has received awards for her outstanding customer service. In her free time, she and her husband, Carl, like to travel, camp and enjoy their seven grandchildren.
